Tata Nexon EV
Tata Nexon EV has become the first EV to cross 10000 mark in EV segment in India. Leading the electric vehicle segment, Tata Motors on Friday recorded the accomplishment of onboarding its 10,000th EV customer. Tata Motors enjoys highest share – at 70% – in the electric passenger vehicle segment in the country with the Nexon EV finding many early adopters. In August of this year, the company crossed 1,000 unit volume which is highly encouraging for the company.
Tata motors has launched Tata Nexon EV in January 2020 since then Nexon EV is leading the rally of electric vehicles. It is offered in three variants namely XM, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux with prices starting from Rs 13.99 lakh and going up to Rs 16.85 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Closest rivals of Nexon EV are MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona. However due to affordability, utility and Trust in Tata has benefitted Nexon. Although EV segment in India is in Nascent stage company is eyeing on mass market for EV products. The company also retails Tigor EV in its PV portfolio that was recently updated with revised styling and a much powerful power train. Tata Motors plans to include a bunch of new EVs to its lineup like the Altroz EV and the Punch EV by 2025.
Tata motors with group companies like Tata Power is meticulously working on strengthening complete ecosystem for EV. Tata Power’s ramp-up of the charging infrastructure with 700 plus installations in 120 cities across India furthers the the commitment of sustainability and modernization.
