Tata Tigor EV
Tata Tigor EV 2021 is launched by Tata Motors on 31 August, 2021. It is basically a facelift of
earlier version. It is the most affordable electric vehicle in the lineup. The Tata Tigor EV is
now on sale in four varaints- XE, XM, XZ+ and XZ+ DT.
The new Tigor EV 2021 has adopted the brand’s ZipTron powertrain shared with the Nexon EV and will be the second Tata Tigor EV powered by the new technology. The second electric vehicle (EV) for the personal segment from the home grown auto maker, following the Nexon EV.
Tigor EV Exterior
Although visually the Tigor EV 2021 resembles with its ICE sibling, has an appealing looks. It is
based on the Tata Tigor facelift with similar styling elements however select styling highlights
like blue accents on the blanked-out front grille with a tri-arrow pattern, 14-inch hyperstyle
wheels are unique to this EV. Front, it comes with a new glossy black applique replacing the
grille and a tri-arrow pattern with a blue slat underlining.
It also sports an EV badge and then there are projector headlights, new horizontal fog lamps with integrated LED DRLs, new alloy wheels with more blue accents and revised tail lamps among others. The Tigor EV measures 3,993mm in length, is 1,532mm tall and 1,677mm wide, and boasts 2,450mm of wheelbase. There are two exterior shades to choose from – Daytona Grey and Teal Blue. Both the hues can be had with a black roof.
Tigor EV Interiors
The Tigor EV has a dark interior with a black and grey theme while the seats feature a tri-
arrow pattern design in a contrasting blue colour. Meanwhile, there are signature blue inserts
around the air-con vents, instrument cluster and centre console. In addition, Tata also offers
a seven-inch Harman infotainment touchscreen with over 30 connected car features, a digital
instrument cluster, engine start/stop switch and a flat-bottom steering wheel. A silent cabin,
spacious interiors with ample headroom and legroom offers comfortable seating. Other
features include electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, smart key with push button
start, portable charging cable, etc

Tigor EV Competition
In this segment no direct competition. Tata Tigor EV 2021 offers quite good value proposition. The extended range of 306 km makes it more attractive and versatile. Tata motor is expanding its charging network. Tigor EV may eat some market share of its sibling Nexon EV.
